- Catch the City Circle Tram ... it's free, runs every 12 minutes (10am - 6pm Sun - Wed, 10am - 9pm Thu - Sat) and circles central Melbourne.
- Have a wander around the Royal Botanic Gardens, covering over 35 hectares of park and garden area.
- Check out the "Loo with a View", located at Level 35, 25 Collins Street (in the Sofitel Hotel). Take the lift from the Sofitel lobby up to Level 35.
- Take a free tour of the State Library of Victoria.
- Go visit a museum! Many Museums and Galleries are free or heavily discounted for students with a valid Student ID. See the Melbourne Museum, the National Gallery, the Immigration Museum, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
